What we practice

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi, often referred to as “18 Movements Tai Chi Qigong,” is a gentle and graceful form of Qigong exercise. Developed by Professor Lin Housheng in the early 1980s, Shibashi combines elements of Tai Chi and Qigong, aiming to promote health, vitality, and inner harmony.
The Shibashi set consists of 18 simple yet elegant movements that are synchronized with deep breathing and mindfulness. Each movement flows smoothly into the next, creating a continuous and meditative practice. The gentle motions help to improve flexibility, balance, and circulation while promoting relaxation and reducing stress.
One of the key features of Shibashi is its accessibility. It can be practiced by people of all ages and fitness levels, making it suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Shing-ling-mei Wudang Qigong

Shing ling mei (Eng. beautiful heart, beautiful spirit) Wudang Qigong is a way of exercising that helps your whole self – body, mind, and spirit. It reminds us that being healthy isn’t just about the body; having a kind and open heart is also important for healing.
This practice was developed by Master Qing Chuan Wang, who wanted to make a modern version of Wudang Qigong. It involves doing gentle movements and focusing your mind. These movements help you feel and control your energy, called Qi. You learn to move this energy through your body and connect with the energy around you, like from nature. This helps get rid of bad energy and brings in fresh, good energy.
Doing this regularly can make you healthier, help you heal faster, give you more energy, and make you feel less stressed and happier. Shing ling mei Qigong also teaches that having a positive attitude and outlook can make your energy better.
What makes Shing ling mei Qigong different from other exercises is that it focuses on how your energy moves inside you, not just how your body moves outside. And you can do it standing up, sitting down, or lying down, so it’s good for everyone, even if they can’t do other exercises.

8 Brocades Qigong (Coming soon)

The Eight Brocades Qigong, also known as Ba Duan Jin, is an ancient Chinese exercise system with a rich history dating back over a thousand years. Developed by legendary physician Hua Tuo during the Han Dynasty, it was designed to promote health and vitality by strengthening the body and balancing the flow of energy, known as Qi.
This practice consists of eight simple movements, each targeting a different area of the body and energy pathway. These movements are performed slowly and gently, synchronized with deep breathing and focused attention.
The Eight Brocades Qigong has been widely used throughout history by people of all ages and backgrounds to improve their overall well-being. It is believed to have numerous health benefits, including strengthening the muscles and joints, improving flexibility and balance, boosting the immune system, and reducing stress.
Today, the Eight Brocades Qigong remains a popular and accessible form of exercise, practiced by millions of people around the world. Its gentle and versatile nature makes it suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, and it can be easily incorporated into daily routines for improved health and vitality.

Dragon Warm Up Qigong (Coming soon)

The Dragon Warm-Up Qigong Course is a dynamic and invigorating practice designed to awaken the body’s energy and prepare it for deeper Qigong training. Inspired by the graceful movements of the mythical dragon, this sequence combines flowing movements, breath work, and visualization techniques to stimulate Qi (life force energy) circulation and enhance vitality.

Join us at 9:00 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday (weather permitting) for our invigorating outdoor Qigong sessions!

Located just a few hundred meters from the main entrance of the Avonmouth River Park (Lamplighter`s Marsh). We’ll meet in the field on the left side of the path; turn when you reach the first tree. Don’t miss the chance to get active and enjoy the fresh air with us!
